Anna Kinder, M.S.OTR/L- Program Director for Wyoming AETC
Anna Kinder has received her Bachelor Degree from the University of North Dakota and her Masters Degree from Colorado State University in Occupational Therapy. Her focus in her education and work experiences has included adult learning and education. An opportunity presented itself to be the coordinator of the Wyoming AETC and she has further developed it through its struggles and celebrations resulting in becoming the Program Director. Her focus is to making counseling and testing of HIV more available and has numerous projects in the works.
Dr. Mark Dowell, M.D., F.A.C.P.- Rocky Mountain Infectious Diseases, Casper
Dr. Mark Dowell is a double board certified physician (Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases). He has extensive experience in the care of those infected with HIV. He has been in private practice in Wyoming since 1992. His practice (Rocky Mountain Infectious Diseases) cares for patients throughout Wyoming with outreach clinics in Gillette, Riverton, Rock Springs, Laramie and very soon in Lander and Worland. Dr. Dowell is currently the Chief of Staff at Wyoming Medical Center. Other areas of responsibility include Medical Director of Infection Control at Wyoming Medical Center and Riverton Memorial Hospital and Natrona County Public Health Officer since 1998. He recently joined the Medical Review Team for the State of Wyoming's HIV/AIDS infected population. Dr. Dowell is the Medical Director for the Wyoming AETC which involves consultative services and regularly meets with the Program Director for needs assessment and education planning. He is committed to educate providers and deliver quality HIV care for the people of Wyoming.
Dr. Whitney Buckley, Pharm.D.-University of Wyoming Family Medicine Residency Program, Cheyenne
Whitney Buckley, Pharm.D., graduated from the University of Wyoming with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology with a Medical Specialty in 2000 and a Doctor of Pharmacy in 2004. She completed a residency in Pharmacy Practice with emphasis in primary care at the Community Health Center of Central Wyoming in 2005. She is the Clinical Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice at the University of Wyoming Family Medicine Residency Program in Cheyenne and University of Wyoming School of Pharmacy. Her area of expertise in the treatment of HIV is related to medication management and drug information. Whitney is able to present on a variety of topics in regards to pharmalogical issues in relation to HIV, including drug interactions, drug updates and is available for clinical consultation as well.
Stacy Smith, RDH-Community Health Center Dental Clinic, Casper
Stacy Smith has received her Associates Degree in Dental Hygiene from Sheridan College and is currently finishing a Bachelor's Degree through the University of Wyoming. Stacy is employed by the Dental Clinic under the Community Health Center of Central Wyoming. She is promoting and working with patients with HIV on oral hygiene, diet and overall healthy lifestyles. She has been trained in HIV counseling and testing and now counsels and test patients in the dental clinic setting. Stacy will be assisting with the development and facilitating the Level III Training project in the dental setting in Casper. Stacy was instrumental in getting HIV Testing in the Community Health Center Dental Clinic which was the first in the nation to adopt this practice. Stacy is able to present on oral health issues in relation to HIV, how to incorporate HIV testing in a dental clinic, and oral manifestations that could indicate an HIV diagnosis.
